“INSIDE CHAMBERS” Collection by Chiara Barozzini

Fashion has always been an expression of identity and visual language, so it is not only a means of aesthetic expression, but also a way to tell complex and personal stories, capable of giving voice to what often remains unspoken, such as family psychological traumas and dysfunctional relationships that shape who we are.
This collection explores the cracks, silences, misunderstandings and emotional wounds that are rooted in family dynamics, without belonging only to the past. They are invisible scars, but always alive, they are signs that sculpt the body and mind, and influence every aspect of our existence so even the way we dress and present ourselves to the world. The collection does not limit itself to representing pain, but wants to transform it into visual beauty. The contrast between light and heavy fabrics, symmetrical and asymmetrical cuts, wide volumes and tight
lines become a metaphor for inner fragmentation and attempts at reconstruction. Like repressed or distorted emotions, some garments remain rigidly structured, others are released in fluid movements. Long sleeves evoke missed hugs, marked shoulders carry the weight of unresolved traumas, tight belts allude to emotional constraints. The absence of pockets suggests the impossibility of carrying more weight than what you already have inside. Gloves covering the hands tell of the lack of empathy, the need to defend oneself, the refusal of contact, clean cuts express the desire to break with the past, while transparencies reveal vulnerability: wounds finally exposed and no longer hidden.
