On a May weekend, the teachers and management from Istituto Burgo met to visit the Dolce & Gabbana Exhibition “Dal cuore alle mani” at Palazzo Reale in Milan. The Exhibition opened on April 7th and will be on display until July 31st, and it has already been a huge success.

To us, this was an important appointment: the connection with the brand is strong, mainly because Embroidery and Haute Couture are part of our “mission”, but also for the great collaboration and the always increasing number of former students that are now part of the Dolce & Gabbana family.

Founded in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, this Italian fashion house has won the hearts of millions around the world with its bold style, uncompromising creativity and inherently Italian spirit.

The show represented the iconicity and the splendor of the brand with creations of sophisticated elegance and effortless sensuality.

From their famous embroidered evening gowns to their iconic men’s suits, each piece reflects a meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to quality craftsmanship, as described by the title chosen for the exhibition.

This is an interactive experience that we recommend, both because the exhibition transports us from one world to another with an explosion of contrasting sounds, colors and vibrations, and because we can admire the craftsmanship and various methods of embroidery, such as painting stitch, cross stitch and inlay made with a mastery of yesteryear.

The “Gattopardo” room transports us into the atmosphere of the famous film until we move on to the room of Sicilian traditions, then we get lost in the crystal room, surrounded by the works of French artist Anh Duong, of Spanish and Vietnamese origin, which represents the crowning achievement of an intense dialogue between art and fashion.

“Dal cuore alle mani” encapsulates the essence of deep passion for fashion and it is the same passion that our school transmits to our students. We highly recommend visiting this explosion of Italian creativity and craftsmanship in a setting that, as the title itself says, impresses the heart and transmits to the hands.
