Milan, 1913

This is the tragic story of a marquise who, accustomed to comfort and wealth, was the trendsetter in the Milanese upper middle class of the early twentieth century.

One day she fell from grace as a gambling addict, thus ruining her wealth and reputation.

Treated as an outcast by the society that once put her on a pedestal, she went mad and spent the last years of her life in a psychiatric ward.
